Ariva is one of only five organizations nationwide that offers SaveUSA, a program that offers an incentive for people to save at tax time. Ariva’s South Bronx site offers tax filers the chance to open a special SaveUSA account, while funds last. Filers who are randomly selected to open the SaveUSA account will receive a 50% “match” – up to $500 – when they save part of their refund for a full year.
Who is eligible to open a SaveUSA account?
Filers with children who earn $50,000 per year or less and individuals with no children earning less than $18,000 are eligible for the opportunity to open a SaveUSA account at Ariva’s 167th Street free tax preparation site. Filers must have a minimum tax refund of $200.
What if I already have a $aveNYC Account?
New York City residents who currently hold a $aveNYC Account or who participated in the $aveNYC program in previous years are eligible to open a SaveUSA account.
